Today, John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport is proud to welcome The Farm Network as its newest commercial partner.
Locally owned, The Farm Network, offers premium small farm and artisan products from across Ontario and parts of Canada. Located post-security at Hamilton International, The Farm Network will offer passengers a unique selection of domestic, gourmet gift items and tasty snacks.
“We are excited to offer passengers enhanced concession offerings through our partnership with The Farm Network,” said Lauren Yaksich, Manager, Marketing and Communications, John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport. “Tying a local company into our operations is a benefit for both the Airport and community; The Farm Network will complement the current food and beverage offerings at the Airport and enhance our ‘sense of place’ theme, which links the Airport to its local surroundings.”
Tyler Ferguson, Owner of The Farm Network, describes this initiative as “operating to enhance the accessibility of local food. Partners like the Hamilton International Airport provide the opportunity to develop a convenient location to showcase the quality and diversity of local, and domestic items. The company will build on the ‘eat local’ philosophy by providing the opportunity for consumers to eat Canadian.”
The store-front kiosk at Hamilton International will be The Farm Network’s first location; products will also be available for purchase online at www.thefarmnetwork.ca or at a number of events throughout Ontario this year.
The Farm Network is open post-security from May to October, excluding 7 am departures. More information on hours of operation during the 2014/2015 winter season will be released as it becomes available.
