HAMILTON, ON (September 10, 2019) John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport officially kicks off its 2019/2020 winter program which offers significant growth in the number of flights to popular destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean including the launch of a new service to Cayo Santa Maria in Cuba. This growth complements the Airport’s robust year-round routes to Florida, Las Vegas, Mexico, the Caribbean and across Canada.

Passengers can continue to travel from Hamilton to Abbotsford, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Halifax with partners Swoop or WestJet. Additionally, Swoop will continue its popular year-round international flights from Hamilton to Las Vegas, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Cancun and Montego Bay. This winter will also see the return of Swoop’s popular seasonal routes from Hamilton to Tampa Bay and Puerto Vallarta. Air Transat and Sunwing return with seasonal service to various destinations in Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic and Jamaica while offering an array of all-inclusive vacation packages for travelers from Hamilton and the surrounding area.

Here are some additional details providing more information about the exciting 2019/2020 Winter Program for each airline flying from Hamilton International Airport:

Air Transat returns to Hamilton with weekly flights to Cancun (Tuesday, Saturday), Cayo Coco (Sunday), Puerto Plata (Monday), Punta Cana (Friday, Sunday) and Varadero (Saturday).

Sunwing returns to Hamilton and had added new weekly flights to Cancun, Cayo Coco, Cayo Santa Maria and additional weekly flights to Varadero. Sunwing will fly to Cancun (Sunday), Cayo Coco (Sunday), Cayo Santa Maria (Friday), Montego Bay (Saturday), Punta Cana (Friday) and Varadero (Wednesday, Saturday).

Swoop will continue to offer low-cost fares to passengers looking to travel across Canada with daily frequencies to Abbotsford, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Halifax. Swoop will also have several flights per week to the popular U.S. destinations of Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Orlando and Tampa Bay. Swoop will also operate three weekly flights to Cancun (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday), two weekly flights to Montego Bay (Wednesday, Saturday) along with three weekly flights to Puerto Vallarta (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday).

WestJet will continue to offer daily direct flights from Hamilton to Calgary Sunday to Friday each week. These flights offer travelers great connections to destinations in California, Hawaii and beyond.
