Hamilton, ON (January 30, 2023) – John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (Hamilton International) is proud to share that its long-serving Board of Directors Chairman, Ron Foxcroft, C.M., has been awarded a prestigious Platinum Jubilee Pin, which was created in 2022 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Accession of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to the Throne as the Queen of Canada. The Platinum Jubilee Pin is a tangible way for provinces to honour Queen Elizabeth II’s service while also honouring significant contributions and achievements made by influential Canadians in their communities.

As a proud Hamiltonian, Foxcroft has always shared the spotlight with his community through his many successful career endeavours and entrepreneurial pursuits. Foxcroft is well-reputed globally for founding Fox 40 International Inc. and developing the innovative Fox 40 Pealess Whistle. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of Fluke Transportation Ltd., which celebrated its 100th year in Hamilton in 2020 and has been named “Carrier of the Year” by both Proctor and Gamble and Coca-Cola. This Platinum Jubilee recognition adds to Foxcroft’s extensive list of national and international accolades, including being appointed to the Order of Canada in 2018, Canada’s highest citizen honour, and two prior Jubilee Pins awarded in 2000 and 2012.

“I am deeply honoured to receive this special commemorative Pin in recognition of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. I was fortunate to have an audience with Her Majesty in 2015, in her personal apartment at Buckingham Palace,” said Foxcroft. “The late Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s unwavering service and lifelong devotion to Canadians and the Commonwealth will forever be cherished and I humbly share this award with my family, my team and all of the exceptional changemakers and trailblazers in Hamilton and Burlington who continue to contribute to the betterment of our community and nation.”

Foxcroft was elected to Hamilton International’s Board of Directors in 2004 and appointed as Chairman of the Board in 2007. The Airport’s Board of Directors is comprised of a team of professionals connected to the local community and/or aviation industry, providing governance for the Airport.
