Since starting operations in June 2025, Porter has doubled its domestic network from Hamilton International, expanding from four Canadian destinations to eight
Hamilton, ON (March 25, 2026) – Canada’s capital is closer than ever as Porter Airlines (Porter) announces the launch of nonstop flights between John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (Hamilton International) and Ottawa International Airport. Service will begin on June 22, with two daily flights operated by Porter’s 78-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft.
Flight schedules are as follows:

This announcement builds on Porter’s recent expansion into several other key domestic markets, with new service to Montreal, St. John’s and Winnipeg launching this summer, further strengthening Porter’s growing network of year-round destinations introduced in June 2025, including Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, and Vancouver. Porter has also extended its seasonal flights to Fort Lauderdale through the summer. These additions reflect the airline’s continued investment in the region and commitment to providing more travel options to and from Hamilton International, giving travellers greater flexibility and connectivity across Canada, the U.S., Mexico and beyond.
“Porter’s addition of service to Ottawa from Hamilton International highlights the momentum we’re building in the region and the increasing demand from both business and leisure travellers,” said Peter Tong, Chief Executive Officer of Hamilton International. “With recent investments in airport infrastructure, including the addition of passenger jet bridges, we’re elevating the travel experience for every guest – delivering speed, ease and comfort at every step of the journey.”
“This new route gives passengers more options and greater convenience. Hamilton travellers can now travel seamlessly to Ottawa and easily connect to destinations across Atlantic Canada and the U.S. East Coast, including Boston and New York,” said Andrew Pierce, Vice President, Network Planning and Reporting, Porter Airlines. “At the same time, Ottawa passengers gain direct access to Hamilton, the gateway to Ontario wineries, 100+ waterfalls, and home of the CFL Ticats – there’s lots to explore for every type of traveller.”
“Hamilton’s momentum as a key transportation hub continues to build, and the addition of Porter Airlines’ daily service to our nation’s capital is another exciting step forward,” said City of Hamilton Mayor Andrea Horwath. “This new route makes it easier for Hamiltonians to travel for work, family, and leisure, while also welcoming more visitors to experience everything our city has to offer. Strengthening connections like this supports local businesses, tourism, and economic growth, and reinforces the important role our airport plays in connecting Hamilton to the rest of the country.”
