From weekday meetings to weekend getaways, the addition of Montreal brings greater convenience and more choice for both corporate and leisure travellers
Hamilton (March 24, 2026) – Bonjour, Montreal! Today, Porter Airlines (Porter) announced that it will be launching nonstop flights between John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (Hamilton International) and the new Montreal Metropolitan Airport (the MET) with service beginning on June 22. Flights to Montreal will operate twice daily on Porter’s 78-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft.
Montreal Metropolitan Airport, formerly known as Saint-Hubert Airport, has recently undergone a significant evolution, transforming into a modern, passenger-focused facility with the construction of a new terminal. The MET is conveniently located just 15 kilometres from downtown, providing easy access to major tourist attractions and business districts.
Flight schedules are as follows:

Following the completion of a multi-million-dollar renovation to its passenger terminal building in June 2025, Hamilton International has emerged as a modern travel hub in Southern Ontario. The enhanced facade presents a warm welcome to visitors, while refreshed interior spaces create a more efficient and elevated guest experience with new digital signage, lighting upgrades, comfortable lounging areas complete with soft seating and charging stations as well as carefully curated finishes that create a refined sense of place. Building on these upgrades, the Airport unveiled its first-ever passenger jet bridges in December 2025, offering a smoother, more convenient boarding experience that reduces exposure to weather and enhances accessibility. Together, these improvements redefine the travel experience, transforming a routine transit point into a modern, seamless and enjoyable gateway to the skies.
“Montreal is now within easy reach from Hamilton International, opening new possibilities for both corporate and leisure travellers to and from Southern Ontario,” said Peter Tong, Chief Executive Officer, Hamilton International. “With recent enhancements, including the Airport’s first-ever passenger jet bridges, guests can expect a smooth, stress-free experience from arrival to takeoff when they choose Hamilton International.”
“Passengers travelling through Montreal Metropolitan Airport (MET) will have convenient access to the Greater Montreal area, including easy access to downtown,” says Michael Deluce, CEO, Porter Airlines. “The modern terminal provides an efficient and welcoming passenger experience that will save travellers substantial time. It raises the bar for travel in Canada.”
