Strategic Advantages
Dedicated Cargo Infrastructure
Hamilton International’s $12-million, 77,000-square-foot Cargo Centre supports a range of air cargo and logistics operations. Cargojet occupies approximately half of the facility as its anchor tenant, with the remaining space managed by Aeroship Handling Ltd. under a common-use model.
24-Hour Efficiency

Cost Effective Growth
Competitive aeronautical fees and strategic route development incentives support airline partners in launching new services and expanding their networks.

Hamilton Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ)
The City of Hamilton is a designated Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Point, providing businesses with streamlined access to information, programs and resources that can support international trade. The designation brings together the City of Hamilton, Hamilton International and the Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority to help businesses navigate available trade incentives, including duty deferrals and tax exemptions.
Hamilton is strategically located near major 400-series highways, the U.S. border and the Greater Toronto Area and offers multimodal connections by air, road, rail and marine. The FTZ point, in tandem with Hamilton International’s cargo infrastructure and 24-hour operations, positions Hamilton as a strategic gateway for businesses looking to import, export and expand into global markets.
Strategic Incentives & Advisory Services
Hamilton’s FTZ point aims to help businesses expand their reach to international markets through a combination of tax and duty relief programs, tariff exemptions and exclusive concierge investment services by a dedicated group of sector experts. These individuals are ready to assist businesses with inquiries, information, programs and incentives to advance and expand international trade opportunities.
Additionally, Hamilton’s FTZ point provides direct contact and coordination with programs offered by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), alongside various federal and provincial programs that may be available to your organization.
